Background
The legacy query system ran on external cloud servers in a primary/backup pair — a long maintenance chain, with the backup node now offline. The new platform is consolidated on our own server, uses KSD-UAP single sign-on, keeps data and drawings centralized, and deploys via a one-command rsync script.
Tech Stack
SPA + PWA Architecture
The frontend is a Vite-built SPA; Nginx route fallback keeps PWA navigation from hitting 404s, and static assets get 30-day immutable caching for near-instant repeat loads.
Hardened Deployment
The backend runs as a dedicated low-privilege user with a read-only system tree and private tmp via systemd; authentication is provided by KSD-UAP so one account works across systems.
